Im really not sure what the deal is with people being vehemently against the idea of churches or organized religion. Like, Im not Christian (or really any other religion) but the principle of opposing churches--places where people come together from bunch of different backgrounds, united in ideals and beliefs, to form a community of support for one another in all sorts of areas (structure, study, love, etc.)--kind of baffles me. Sure, they can have problems within, but literally every organized group of people has bureaucracy, the possibility of corruption, and flaws in its system. Organized religion makes religion accessible for people who need it, and I dont see how thats a bad thing, overall. You can disagree with what their beliefs are, but...like...thats why you dont join them if you dont want to. To raise issue with their existence because other people are believing in things and living in ways you dont agree with is kind of hypocritical, seeing as thats what most people condemn churches for doing.
