Im sad to be leaving New York, but I am excited to get home. Ive learned a lot out here, about movement building, and movement busting. Ive made a lot of new friends, and reconnected with old ones. I saw many of the beautiful and not so beautiful things this city has to offer, but still feel as if there is so much to explore. I fell in love with this town, though I am sure I am just one of many newcomers who feel that way. I looked at thousands of faces today and made eye contact with as many of them as I could. Say what you want, but every one of them and every one of you are beautiful beings. We all have many ideas to share and many new projects to build and work on. We have our work cut out for us. The revolution isnt going to happen on its own. And it sure as hell wont be co-opted by non profits and corporations, billionaires and politicians. We have a looong way to go. Both on my ride back home, AND in terms of how we will implement strategic action to climb our way out of this hole weve collectively dug for ourselves over the course of recent human history. I do know one thing thats certain. We WILL win. I know this because Ive seen it. You the reader may be tempted to criticize that notion, but it doesnt sway me. Sometimes, blind faith in the unknown is all we have. See you next time NYC. Im sure it wont be long before Im back again. Oh, and to my fellow revolutionaries with plans to #FloodWallStreet tomorrow: Raise Hell. Send a message. Let the ruling class know that the clock is ticking. Their time is up. WE have the power.
