Im sad to report that the dog poisonings are not limited to Costambar or the Dominican Republic for that matter. One of the gentlemen that stays at my house while I am away had a dog named Lily. Lily was poisoned earlier this week and died before anything could be done. The vet reported that it was a mixture of rat poison and anti-freeze Anti-freeze is a coolant used in car radiators. If a radiator leaks or you change the water in the radiator and it goes onto the ground, an animal is attracted to it as it is very sweet tasting (so Im told, no first-hand experience here). The animals have even been known to lick up the dirt where the anti-freeze was deposited. Lily was like my own dog when I go back to FL and she will be greatly missed.
