Im scheduling an appointment to see our vet to find out about lowering Angus prednisone and to talk about some of his anxious behavior. I posted last week and got some good feedback, and I was able to put my hands on his bloodwork from 8/15 and wanted to share another photo of his paws to see if there are any other suggestions. Hes been licking his feet obsessively for weeks now, and were noticing now that they look irritated--all four of them. Does anyone have experience with their dogs doing this? Angus is a 7YO male 94# yellow lab who is on 2 ML (increased two weeks ago from 1.7ML) and 2.5 MG pred daily. My post from 8/15: We went to the vet today to follow up on some sudden limping and wimpering that Angus had last night. Lab results for Angus today, day 24. 94.5# yellow lab. On 1.8ML Percorten every 28 days and 2.5 mg of pred daily. Na/K today 26.72 We saw a different vet in the practice, ours was off today. Lyme was negative, vet prescribed Tramadol in the event that the limping is accompanied by pain. She noted the only abnormal result was the ALKP, but she suggested that it was because of the prednisone--do your dogs have this type of result, too?
