Im scratching my head over this one, trying to figure out why a trainer such as Cate Sachs ( Shelter Dogs To Dream Dogs) would take a dog she had in her care being trained, to be KILLED BY A SHELTER vs. A COMPASSIONATE VET? Cate shared videos boasting of Sandys progress. Then out of the clear blue, Sandy injured herself and was taken to a vet. This one vet couldnt touch Sandy because he was not competent in dealing with aggressive dogs (who again was making progress per Cates words). So he suggested DEATH. Why didnt Cate just have him do it? Why did CATE SACHS take poor Sandy back to a shelter, a hell-hole where dogs smell death, are anxious and fearful? Back it up a step or two. What proof does Cate Sachs even have that Sandy did indeed injure himself? She made mention several times of him pooping and peeing all over and going into a frenzy when he first arrived. Was he too much for her to handle? I believe so. But why did she NOT consider other options, such as: find another trainer who could make a break through, or find another vet who could handle? Please SHARE so no other dog has to pay the price that Sandy did.
