Im sitting with my family and am honestly stunned. To all my Facebook friends and family, thanks for the suggestions, prayers and support you have shown me over the past 9 months with The Mystery Illnesses. There is a mass in my stomach. The doctors found it in March but didnt think it was a cause of the pain. Fast forward: many tests and minus my gall bladder, they have decided that it has to come out. All indications are that it is benign. This is the stunned part. I thought it would be a simple little snip but it is not. The doctor will be removing a large portion of my stomach and rerouting my small intestine. WOW. The recovery is 6 weeks and my diet will consist of pureed food. Yum.
