Im slowly learning about Washington, taking things in my own time, - TopicsExpress

Im slowly learning about Washington, taking things in my own time, and a few things have become endearing to me. They are: 1. Rhododendrons in spring 2. The water. I tend to forget about it because Ive never lived so close to it. I lived 30 miles from the gulf in Louisiana, but these days I live 1 mile from the sound. Every time I see it, though, I want to drop everything be next to it. I must live next to it someday. I must. 3. The food. Even the big grocery chains carry local produce and wines made in WA are given preference. Local nursery stock is sold at every grocery store. Tillamook has dessert yogurt for sale and with great will I did not buy the Marionberry Cobbler Yogurt. Theres an organic bread made in Oregon thats stocked in the stores called Daves Bread. I buy the Good Seed bread because it is luscious. All of the local/regional selling/purchases do much to boost the local economy. Even Cville doesnt have an extensive system as this, but only select stores committed to selling local products like feastvirginia where sweet Jenna works and keeps the place in good shape.
