Im so Beaumont that I remember the traffic circle on 11th street. I remember when the liberty Jefferson and Gaylynn theaters were still showing movies. I remember when we used to go on double dates to the drive in. I remember when the corner of Phelan and Dowlen was a grassy field. I remember as a kid we had to cross the railroad tracks on Peyton to get to the old Fertittas store on the corner at Calder and oh what we could buy with a quarter. On the way back we could pick blackberries along the railroad tracks.
