Im so #chitown. I was born at St. Lukes right off the Dan Ryan. Lived out west for a few moved to the south side off 75th and Drexel. Use to have one of Jesses Jackson sons as a babysitter. Moved to South Bend Indiana for a couple of years the back home to the west Side. 2900 block of west Adams. What you know about playing tackle football in the street, strikeout on the wall, or using crates or rims for a tire on a hood made basketball rim. Getting penny candy off of 5th ave , icy cups from the lady with the shopping cart or going to Wilcox to the house selling candy to get what you forgot at the store. What you know about those sour pickles with the peppermint and kool aid package or the original cheese doodle with the hot sauce and or lemon juice. Lol... Stop playin.. What you know about hanging out on the stoop listening to house music just hanging out on Sacramento with the neighborhood on a Friday or Saturday night. Im so west side, I remember the free concerts in the park right across the street from me central and Van Buren.. What you know about them streets in the chi where shorties on the block looking out for them people while the d boys make that doe.. Im so westside , what you know about not taking your ass across that bridge ( across the Dan Ryan ) leading to that other side? Dont do it...Im so westside until growing up we didnt do mc Donalds and Burger King often we did the local spots cause the food was better.. Chicken with mild sauce and a strawberry pop.. Lol.. Chi-town all day everyday no matter where Im at
