Im so excited, i just have to share it with you all....Remember my new old machine purchase from last week? A 110 year old Frister & Rossman? Well after finding an instruction book on the wonderful wide web of ours, Ive finally figured out how to thread the machine, wind and insert the shuttle bobbin, AND adjust the tension :v :v:v (still needs a little tweaking though) ....What an amazing piece of early 1900s engineering. Runs very smoothly, and quietly, even with a blunt needle that cant be much younger than the machine itself. The bobbin winds independently, and you can even sew whilst you reload your bobbins....and we all thought this was the latest technology in the our new computerised machines. Im really going to enjoy sewing on this, though I have been spoilt with my auto pivot function and thread cutters on my newer machines....A sacrifice Im happy to make to have a working piece of history such as this. :) :) :)
