Im so grateful to be on this side of the Gospel. Heh... kind of a double-entendre: Im thankful that Im no longer an enemy of God, but God aligned me with His Sons righteousness. But Im more thinking about the timeline in history though... I dont think Ive ever just thought about where God has allowed me to be in the history of the world. Being able to have the full revelation of Gods Word in our hands that paints the entire picture of His amazing story of redemption is just... amazing. Reading Luke, it had to be so hard to be where Zechariah and Elizabeth were before Gabriel appeared... How many were thinking that God had abandoned them during His silence? How many thought that the last straw had broken the camels back? Where was history going? They werent without hope if they studied the scriptures, but that still had to be hard. Im so glad I have the full revelation of Gods Word now and live in a place and time that I can own it and read it freely and openly. We cant see the entire big picture, but God has graciously revealed way more than He had to for the Church to delight in teaching and teach for delighting. :)
