Im so sick of the differences in majors at Rice but I just have to - TopicsExpress

Im so sick of the differences in majors at Rice but I just have to keep reminding myself that in the end, your major is worth it. Everyone keeps talking to me about GPA, GPA, GPA.... GPA is very important but Im not going to become a damn English major just so my GPA goes up .1 or .2 points. Of course you can still get a good job with an easier major, but it affects you in the long run. I dont know how many times Ive heard an English major is valuable... we can all write and communicate well and that becomes apparent during interviews. Look at the stats.
