Im so sorry to tell everyone that little Burrito the goat passed away today. I took her to University of Pennsylvania New Bolton Center, where the radiographed her head and found a large tumor growing in her sinus cavity. Burrito was 16 years old (that is very old for goats!) and the prognosis for operating on the tumor was poor. Burrito was saved by a kind, loving lady many years before when she was going to be sent off to the butcher to be made into burritos. Hence her funny name. She was quite petite - less than half the size of the rest of the goats and most of the sheep here, yet she bossed everyone around --- even Sam the dog. She had class and panache, and even at the hospital gave the students nurses a bit of a hard time. She is the model of a classy old lady. I brought her body back so the animals here could say good bye, especially her life-long friend Joey. Everyone is sad.
