Im so tired of seeing union based propaganda like this. To begin with, Wal-Mart wage is average for nation wide retail and youre pay is dependent on your primary department. If you want more pay go back to school. Its still just retail, people! Next, Ill address the bonuses. Wal-Mart gives quarterly bonuses to all hourly associates dependant on sales, profit, customer experience, and inventory turns. There is a potential $2200 yearly payout! Thats $550 per quarter. This is a number associates can directly effect! Third, I move on to breaks. Wal-Mart provides 2 fifteen minutes breaks and an hour long lunch for a full shift. Thats more then required by any union and you dont have to pay dues. Last, lets look at hours. Sure thirty-two hours isnt full time, but if your ever looking for more hours just see a manager. Theyll set you up covering another area. Its a good way to get hours, learn more, and get your foot in the door with management if your looking to move up. Associate treatment at Wal-Mart and labor arent nearly as bad as youve been lead to believe. There are millions of people working harder, less fulfilling jobs. Wal-Mart is a fair workplace in many aspects to its associates. Rant over!
