Im sold. 1. Paseo de la Reforma on a Sunday Paseo de la Reforma is one of Mexico City’s main roads. It stretches past Bosque de Chapultepec, the Angel de la Independencia, hotels, great shopping malls such as Reforma 222 and is generally considered as one of Mexico City’s hubs. This road has 4 lanes either side and is usually very busy. But every Sunday until midday the city closes this road for people only… no cars! You can see people cycling, skating, running or just walking their dogs peacefully down this open, wide stretch of road. Best of all, it leads to the city centre too. It is a great way to spend a Sunday, and as this road is only 2 blocks from my apartment, I enjoy this respite from hectic commuter life every weekend.
