Im sorry, I cant just sit back and let everyone assume, that just because your enlisted in the United States Armed Forces, that you defending my freedoms as an American. I do not believe this. Blindly agreeing to get paid, housed, healthcare, food, and a free college education, in exchange for going to another persons country, not knowing them, and having no accurate context as to why your there, and killing them, does not make you a hero. In fact, I think its called terroism. And if we as a country, love our heros so much, why do vets make up one of the largest homeless demographics. Again, 50 percent of every tax doller, going to 1 percent of the U.S. population. Even if you do support the troops in word, tying a yellow ribbon round a tree, or posting some sappy out of context video of heros comming home, why dont we really support them and actually inform them who their killing and why. Give em a larger chunk of that 50 percent, or make sure their not homeless when they get back. How come the sons and daughters of congress men and woman, Govenors, or Senators dont serve? We does the military intentionally recruit in economicly depressed neighborhoods? Going blindly along with emotional rhetoric does not constitute support. I dont believe the military is bad, just how its being used, and how the ones actually killing and dying, are being lied to.
