Im sorry, but this is SO INFURIATING! Besides the fact that I believe the state does NOT have the right to take away a parents rights when the parent is not hurting or neglecting their child, they absolutely do not have the right to take away the choice of a mature teenager! This is not a 5 year old who has no clue what is going on. This is a 17 year old girl! She has the right to decide what course of treatment she wants to use. And with the parents, I do not believe that seeking second, third, fourth opinions or seeking alternative treatment options can be counted as neglect or harm. The state clearly believes that, but we have the right to decide what to put in our bodies and how to take care of our bodies and our children. She is not sticking her daughter in a corner to die. They are simply trying to look at options besides chemo, which is well known to be poisonous to the body as a whole. Yeah, it works at killing cancer, but it kills the rest of you too. No one should ever be forced to take it if they dont want to. Parents and mature children who can understand these choices have a right to choose for themselves. They are trying to say that shes not mature because she ran away in Nov? She ran away to try to escape forced chemo! What a load of BS! Whos paying these bills too? Because I wouldnt be. You want to take my child away from me and force her to have a treatment neither she nor I wants for her? I wouldnt be paying for that! The more medical kidnap cases I hear, the more I dont like the way some aspects of this country are going. The government seems to have forgotten that it works for the people, not to control the people. Oh, but thats the point, isnt it. Fear and control.
