Im still riding high from our Memorial Day service last night with a packed house. And I mean PACKED! There were people everywhere...over 200 guests. And the cookout that followed was a blast! Nobody wanted to leave. The cornhole tournaments got serious. lol From the booger wars, to the volleyball, to the lazertag, video games to the brisket, hot dogs, hamburgers, BBQ chicken, fried chicken, potato salad, baked beans, and desserts desserts desserts. I was still sitting talking to the Conn family and the Smiths at midnight. The guys were shooting bball. Our musicians were tearing it up in the sanctuary. Man what a day. I had so many meaningful conversations I lost count. I just love people. I have to say thanks to some people and I know Im gonna a miss some, so please forgive me in advance. First is Games2U and Bob Bob Bass for being a big time blessing. He, Angela and Brett took things to another level. Next is Brett Clark and Lisa Tetrick and my wife who organized the entire event. Next is BK Nichols for behind the scenes work. Next is Donald Donald Bright Jr. Robert J. Robinson and Abbi Eckridge for moving us to tears and cheers with the patriotic music. Wow! You guys made us proud. Next is Branden Labiak Brandi Auxier Burton and the media team for an always professional job. Next is Sidney Main and Steve Schilt for the smoked brisket and all the other delectable meats. Next is Joshua L. Luff for the mouth-watering steak and the volleyball. Next is April Littrell Smith and Yvonna Myers Schilt for always checking and rechecking and checking again to make sure our attendance record is accurate. Last is the wonderful people of Greater Faith Church for building friendships and supplying the food and always staying connected to the vision. I love and appreciate you all. What. A. Day!
