Im sure Kostya Kennedys book is delightful and all, but Pete Rose is not an American dilemma. His is a closed case, and one that does not need to be reopened. The Dowd Report provided the evidence, after two decades of lying about it he eventually admitted to some of the crimes he was accused of, and he has and will continue to pay the penalty he knew those crimes demanded and deserved. If anything, it is a necessary story, of justice rendered. It is not a dilemma; it is a cautionary tale, and Roses last contribution to the game.
