Im sure the old school fans here will dig this. If not, you have no business calling yourself a metalhead. Now playing....Westwood One: In Concert, Judas Priest, 2-lp set. I havent seen any of these posted - radio concert lps. This was recorded by Westwood One during Judas Priests Screaming For Vengeance tour in Memphis, Tennessee, 1982. The albums were originally broadcast during the week of 2/4/83 to 2/6/83 by stations that were a part of the Westwood One radio network. As you can see by reading the cue sheet, the national commercials were included on the lps with time in between for local sponsors. Originally, concerts like this were sent out to radio stations on quarter-inch, half-track reel-to-reel tapes (yep, I have a couple of them, too). After a number of years, they began sending albums instead. Later still, this type of radio program was sent out as cds (again, got one or 2 of them as well). The setlist for this concert is - The Hellion>Electric Eye, Heading Out To The Highway, Metal Gods, Bloodstone, Breaking The Law, The Sinner, Desert Plains, The Ripper, Diamonds & Rust, Screaming For Vengeance, Youve Got Another Thing Comin, Livin After Midnight, Green Manalishi, and Hell Bent For Leather. Nearly 30 years ago, I managed to score a good-sized handful of lps like this. If I told you what I paid for it, youd get angry. lol Awww, what the hell....it was 5 bucks, unplayed until I got my mitts on it.
