Im thinking running a group once a week. Doing yoga Nidjra together and sharing how I overcome both severe depression and severe anxiety. It took me 6 years of teaching to have the confidence to make a cup of tea in the staffroom at work, and to eat. It took longer to socialise at work . I use to wear a scarf around my neck to hide my nervous rash every time I spoke. My experience: depression is an inward reaction to something thats triggered it. Inward= little/ small/ not important , etc.... Victim ... Low self esteem / no confidence :((((( Why???? Do we get stuck??? In depression,, because We start to isolate ourselves & stop speaking up in an assertive way. Depression: will go when: the victim mode is gone. The victim mode is gone when one is honest and speaks the truth,, assertively. Speaking assertively , being honest, saying yes/ no sincerely = healthy boundaries = fantastic self esteem. Anxiety: usually happens when: We dont know how to act or behave in a situation. We dont know what to say. Its also triggered by an unpleasant memory/ experience . Its also triggered when we are in a situation thats not right for us. Anxiety can be overcome by speaking your truth, speaking up about how you feel in a situation,,, stop faking everythings okay,,, And : when you are anxious about a new thing, going to your first party etc.. Its time to research and learn as much as you can about the situation that has you petrified. Being yourself , relaxing and simply being you will change your life and will empower you and make you happy :)) This is the start to No more depression/ anxiety
