Im titling this entry.. Exhibit A..This may be lengthy so please humor this ole Momma Cronk and follow along... Another story of people, process, paperwork and promises with caveats...They said.. We will take care of your daughters medical, shell be covered 100% with Tricare Momma Cronk finds out.... You forgot to mention how there is no clear and concise communication between the military powers that be and the geniuses that rule the Tricare processing world! You see they speak different languages and have vastly different processes. Why else could it be that Im still trying to get bills paid that were covered 100%? Some are almost a year old and one LOD mess thats going on three years that God knows when some army processing paperpusher will finally unravel! Now we have yet another twist of fate. We follow the rules and get the referrals and make the appointments and get a prescription that eventually gets denied by Tricare stating to the pharmacy the patient isnt covered.. YES SHE IS!!! When I get tired of the dog and pony freak show I contact our state advocate ... he calls some magic number and they tell him.. why YES Katy is covered for the prescription but only on a reimbursement level. A medication that she couldnt afford on her own but needs to cope with the scars left by her rapist! So the pharmacy uses their magic and manages to get the price significantly reduced to $12.00. We dealt with this for about two weeks! I pay the bill my daughter finally gets the prescription she needs and I get the attached form to fill out so I can have my 12 bucks back.. If you think about its a great racket Tricare has going... 1- make it difficult for the patient to obtain prescribed medication 2- be vaguely specific as long as you can 3- after wearing patient down and they finally figure out of a way to get their medication then you give them a 2 page form that is nothing if not intimidating Bullshit and fine print. Thereby testing the patients resolve to seek reimbursement after jumping through so many hoops just to get this far... in other words Wear them out (Ive attached the form for your viewing pleasure ...) Well played Tricare! You are correct in assuming its not worth it for me to continue catering to your useless diatribe!! So Im posting my case here! Medical bills have gone to collection because we have yet to find that one individual that agrees enough is enough and finally holds you accountable. I dont know how any human could sleep at night knowing that this just isnt about one Vets experience... THIS IS HOW IT IS FOR TENS OF THOUSANDS OF VETS!!! If only our leaders would truly put actions behind their words. The energy put forth to screw over our soldiers could be better applied to making their lives and futures easier for them to face and deal with.. My heart sinks when I see a soldier because I know what waits for them if heaven forbid they suffer PTSD and or MST... and the pride I once had in a military that is supposed to be the finest in the world is gone because they have the most heinous dirty little secret and the best life sucking two faced assassins cleverly disguised as people you think should care enough to make a positive change. When you lay your head on that soft pillow tonight remember you do so as an American a FREE American... You enjoy that freedom at the expense that comes from personal sacrifice our soldiers pay for with their lives if necessary... Every day...... Now think about this ..Is it such a big deal to ask for things to be better handled for them? God Bless-Momma Cronk
