Im told this is impossible in Bakersfield. Female blues singer/promoter seeking: One drummer who can hold down a solid shuffle and swing, a roots/blues guitar player who doesnt need pedals to play all the time, and a solid blues bass player. You must know the structure, have a good sound, and equipment and never have said things like Its just the blues. Need players who understand dynamics and dont need to play too loud. Material consists of originals, Susan Tedeschi, Janiva Magness, Fabulous Thunderbirds, Mississippi Heat, Angela Strehli, Lou Ann Barton, Koko Taylor, Big Mama Thornton, Jimmy Reed, Eddie Taylor, Junior Wells, Buddy Guy, BB King, Sue Foley, Slim Harpo and more... If you all can stand still long enough to make a demo, take a picture, and provide a short bio, I can get the gigs in town and out. Rehearsals could be no more than twice a month, therefore self rehearsal is always necessary. Keys and harp will be added when suitable. Serious inquiries only.
