Im trying SO hard to keep a smile & finish the school year out as happily as possible. Its been so rough seeing our school change so drastically. Today, an employee who was on Administrative Leave, got to return to work because there wasnt enough evidence of wrongdoing. This man (who is brand new to Charter Oak) was seen peeing into a drain in the boiler room. A room that many enter the building through in the morning. (Which will probably become prohibited). He claimed he was pouring chemicals in the drain. But no one followed up to see the containers, or tape the area off to test for urine, etc. And apparently, the female teacher who saw his genitals wasnt a good enough form of evidence? This man has also been seen using the little boys restroom while kids are in there, even though the MENs room is right next door. The mens room is also just 14 steps from the said boiler room he was seen peeing in. Ive also heard he has been written up several times at his previous school & even terminated, but he went to our Superintendent & she got his job back in place for him. How nice! The irony here is that he has no business being in that school with our kids. Your genitals are called privates for a reason. This is simple isnt it? Furthermore, it was clearly stated by the Illinois State Board of Education that there was no evidence that Principal Wetterauer or our teachers manipulated or tampered with the ISAT tests. None. They are innocent. Where is their justice? They didnt get an apology or an invitation to come back? This is yet another example of why people are pulling their children out of our public school system. The same system that reaps about 60% of our annual property taxes. Sad. Sad. Sad.
