Im trying to fill Melanies shoes while she is confined to strict bed rest-Doctors orders. Ordinarily I take care of the yard, car maintenance, home repairs, feeding and caring for the livestock (when we had horses and cows). Melanie cooks, cleans and keeps us all on track. She has been getting ripped off! She(and the rest of you wives and mothers) could do my job with one hand tied behind her back. Moms have an exhausting schedule thats seems to be a vicious cycle. By the time you feed everyone and clean up its time to start all over! Also due to Christmas break I suspect Im not seeing half the workload regarding getting everyone up and out the door for school. Now that I know what goes where, in the different kitchen cabinets, I have no excuse. Im going to help more with house work even after the babies are born.( There, I said it and its in writing) Melanie, wives, mothers, especially single moms...thank you for your incredible sacrifice to make your house a home. Sorry I (we) take you for granted. Love you!
