Im usually not political. But this time, I am taking a stand. Obama proposes spending 3.7 billion dollars to stem the tide of Central American children coming to the U.S. How about we spend that money assimilating these kids into American society. Stop all other legal forms of immigration until the kids are okay. They have virtually no chance in the ghettos of Guatemala, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, etc. Cmon, these are children. If their parents have no other options than to send them, shouldnt we help? We need to have a heart. What does it say on the statue of liberty? Your tired, your poor, your huddled masses. Which of your great, great Grandparents were born in this country? I intend to contact my congressman. And, find a place where my $s will help.
