Imagine if we knew the things we are just beginning to understand. As most of this new thought and knowledge is learned in spite of the widespread leaden belief in the supernatural, and the control it has placed over us for so long, it seems hard to digest. The possibility we are a mere evolutionary blip in the infinite universe, a sort of aberration, is very unsettling, and almost leads to despair, because we have wasted so much time pursuing and bowing down to gods, demons, fairies, smoke and mirrors. Is it too late? What if we had known, been taught to be responsible for our lives from an early age, and not be forced to kowtow to some silly old white fart with long hair?
