Imam Hussain(as), his family and friends sacrificed everything ( life ,wealth, family honor) that they had ,in their struggle against tyranny and despotism and for upholding the human values of truth, justice and liberty of thought, word and deed. Their struggle was aimed at the ultimate goal of awakening human beings of all times to uplift the human spirit beyond short-sighted materialistic pursuits, and establish a just and equitable order in society. Innama kharajtu litalabil islahi fi ummati jaddi wa abi The main motive of this sacrifice was the upliftment of people and society. They wanted to create awareness among the people and this is the real message of Karbala which needs to be understood. I am not against mourning or Azadari. Azadari is Wajib on all of us.Its a way to keep Hussaniyat alive. Now lets focus on this point Its a WAY to keep HUSSAINIYAT alive .And as mentioned above Hussainiyat means the uplitment of society.Unfortunately people have forgot this fact. There are many people who are poor but still spend huge amount of money on Shab . They even take loans for that but when it comes to education they are left with nothing for that. Shab is important but it can be done in a simpler way. There is no need of arranging wazwan and all that. .Imam hussain A.S will never be happy to see that people are spending money on shabs and not on their education. He has clearly mentioned that my journey is for the upliftment of people and for upliftment you require education not Wazwan.If you wanna serve azadars even a simple tea will do it. The rest of money can be donated to poor people for the upliftment of society and this will be real Hussainiyat..
