Imam Zayn Al-^Abeden was the descendant of Imaam Al-Husayn who was the descendant of Imam ^Aliyy who was the prophets first cousin may Allāh accept their good deeds. Imam Zayn Al-^Abeden was from the Tabe^in (the followers of the companions) was well built, very strong, righteous, and his aura (Habay) was so strong to the point people couldnt even look into his face. Once a person was swearing at Imam Zayn Al-^Abeden may Allāh raise his rank and he ignored him. The person who was insulting this great Imaam became disturbed by that, so he continued swearing at him. But Imam Zayn Al-^Abeden continue to ignore him, and then the person started to swear at him in front of his face and said: I am swearing at you! Zayn Al-^Abden replied: I know and I am ignoring you. This is how pious muslims and true men react to that kind of treatment. Once Imam Zayn Al-^Abeden was giving a lesson in the mosque and a person walked in and started to accuse this great Imaam of abhorrent sins. Imam Zayn Al-^Abeden visited that person later on that night, he was outside of that persons door (and covered most of it too because of his size). The man while knowing about his great strength became terrified. Imam Zayn Al-^Abeden said: I have come to tell you that if I have committed those acts then I have repented, but if I have not then I advise you to repent to Allāh. The man became so upset and started chasing Imam Zayn Al-^Abeden apologising for what he did. The linguist and scholar of Hadith, Imam Muhammad Murtada az-Zabidiyy, narrated by a continuous chain from himself back to Imam Zayn al-^Abeden (in his treatise as-Sahifah as-Sajjadiyyah) said about Allah: روى المحدثُ اللغوىُّ الإمامُ محمد مرتضَى الزَّبيدىُّ بالإسناد المتصل منه إلى الإمام زين العابدين رضى الله عنه وهو من رءوس السَّلف والمعروف بالسَّجَّاد، قال في رسالته المشهورة بالصَّحيفة السَّجَّاديَّة: سبحانك أنتَ الله الذى لا يحويك مكان. which means: He also said: قال الإمام زينُ العابدين علىُّ بنُ الحسين: سبحانك أنتَ الله الذى لستَ بمحدود which means: May Allāh accept his good deeds.
