Imma share one more lil tidbit, and then imma leave it alone ... Well first of all, me and my mama never did get along - not until recently (pssst! We were too much alike lol) ... With that said, My mother was forever trying to win my favor - and I do mean forever, For as long as I can remember ... But theres this one particular incident that will FOREVER stick out in my memory ... I was 16 going on 17 (as the old folks would say, smelln myself lol), I was a junior in highschool ... Mama and I had been at each others heads all year long ... One day, all outta the blue - I was sitting in English class and I got called down to the office, I got scared - I NEVER got called down to the office ... My mama was there - She said, Come on, Im taking you to lunch. I dutifully agree. So we jump in the car, And Im still waitn - for the bad news ... I notice that were on the highway, headed out to Milford, CT (where the shopping centers were at the time) ... She saids, Imma buy you an outfit from Alexanders (dept store) before we go to lunch. Dutifully, I agree. It was kinda cold that day - I dont remember the particular season, but I do know that I was wearing boots and a winter coat, so I thought it was kinda odd when mama asked the saleswoman Where are your Summer outfits? ... (Long story short) ... After shopping we head off the the airport - (PAUSE) - Mama had taken me to lunch in Freeport, Bahamas ♥ ... (In my world), Thats that superstar *ish that my mama would often do ... for ALL of us. Amen. #ripMama
