Impact tests were conducted on both our Model R-16 and W-23 above ground oval shelters. The test projectile of 15 lbs. was propelled at 100 mph, which relates to that projectile being propelled horizontally by a 250 mph ground speed tornado. The Model W32 passed all impacts. The tests prove the shelter is capable of resisting the debris impact guidelines of the FEMA 320/361 and ICC-500. All tests were conducted by the Texas Tech University Wind Research Center and are compliant with FEMA 320/361 (2008) and ICC-500 (2008).
