Impaired Driving Arrest July 13, 2013 On the 12th of July 2013, at approximately 1230pm, members of the Greater Sudbury Police Services Uniform Division were called to a Bruce Street Complex, with respect to a motor vehicle collision. Shortly thereafter, police arrived and learned that a female had driven her vehicle into the complex parking lot and side swiped another vehicle. She left the scene on foot and attended her apartment. Police were quickly able to identify the suspect and attended her residence. Police were invited into the residence and the collision was discussed. She was soon arrested for Impaired Driving. During this process she attempted to throw the liquid contents of a cup onto one of the officers. She continued her displeasure by attempting to kick one of the officers. She was returned to the Police Headquarters where she provided breath samples that registered nearly 4 times the legal limit. As a result, a 54 year old female stands charged with the following offences: · Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle · Excess over 80 mgs · Assault Police · Resist Arrest The accused was held pending a bail hearing dated for the 13th of July 2013.
