Important Notice to All Growers – Hail Damage Assessment Please forward to all affected. Dear Grower The hail storm on Saturday has left a widespread trail of damage through many parts of the district, particularly the Gol Gol North, Buronga, Mourquong and Curlwaa districts. Industry representatives have made contact with State and Federal members of parliament seeking assistance and direction. The NSW Minister for Agriculture The Hon. Katrina Hodgkinson has also been briefed on the situation. Wentworth Shire Council is working with affected residents in assessing the extent of damage. The NSW Rural Assistance Authority has advised that assistance may be available if a Natural Disaster is declared. We are asking affected growers to report damage as soon as possible to the NSW Local Lands Services Office to assist in any industry applications for relief. We ask growers to complete the following information and email to LLS [email protected] and also to your industry association.
