Important Status By Sheikh Assim Al Hakeem::::: Allah says: “And the mosques are for Allah (Alone), so invoke not anyone along with Allah”. From this ayah, we learn that calling anyone other than Allah is Shirk. Allah says: “If you invoke (or call upon) them, they hear not your call, and if (in case) they were to hear, they could not grant it (your request) to you. And on the Day of Resurrection, they will disown your worshipping them.” It was also reported in Saheeh Ibn Hibban and Saheeh Ibn Khuzaimah that when there was a drought at the time of Omer, may Allah be pleased with him, they went out to pray for rain and Omer said: O Allah, we used to ask you for rain through the Prophet when he was with us and You used to give us rain. Now, we come out with your Prophet’s uncle; Al Abbas seeking through him rain, so send rain to us. In this authentic hadeeth, we find that the companions didn’t go to the Prophet’s grave salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam calling him and asking him for rain. There isn’t one single authentic hadeeth that says that the companions used to invoke or call the Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam. I am astonished of those who insist that the Prophet only died for a second and that he is alive like us! Why did the companions wash him, pray funeral prayer upon him and then burry him in Aisha’s house, may Allah be pleased with her if he didn’t die? I read in their books that you will not die until you see him alive if you offer 500 salutations a day! Not only that, these deviant scholars even claim that the Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam reached out to them when they visited his grave and shock his hands! A layman said when he heard that: why didn’t they pull him out to guide us and lead us if he is alive and shakes hands with visitors! All of this is nonsense and attempts from the followers of Satan to deviate people from Islam when they claim that he is hazir nazir and that he is everywhere on earth and knows the unseen and controls the universe. That is why they worship our Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam and commit shirk!
