Important factors to considered before you buy that plot of land; 1. for what purpose do you want the plot for 2. does the plot of land have a clear and marketable title 3. are the measurements on the title equal to the ones on the ground 4. are the boundaries to the plot established or visible 5. is the land in the name of the seller(s). is there an original title deed or allotment letter showing the seller(s) is(or are) the sole owner(s) 6. carry out a search of the plot at the lands office to confirm that it does not have any legal dues or restrictions 7. research any contingencies that may hinder the immediate or future development of the property (e.g. is it foreseeable for you to build a home on the plot. is there good public road access to the plot)
