In 1955 Brother Andrew responded to God’s call in Revelation 3:2 to “Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die.” He began smuggling suitcases full of Christian literature behind the Iron Curtain in his blue Beetle, which marked the humble beginnings of Open Doors. The Open Doors Ireland team has been running a ‘God’s Smuggler Tour’ for kids and young people, complete with a classic VW Beetle and hidden Bibles! Weve visited over 60 churches, schools and organisations, unfolding the tale of Gods Smuggler by sharing stories from around the world.
