In 1979 I was tasked with joining the Klan while a member of the Galveston Sheriffs Department. I was chosen because I had befriended James Beam, Grand Dragon of the Texas Klu Klux Klan at the U of Houston. For six months I was merely a student at UH while this was happening. Six years later I was in Arkansas with the Covenant, Sword and the Arm of the Lord near Mountain Home, AK when Beam was arrested by the Feds for a variety of things including armored car robbery, accessory to murdering a Missouri HP officer and other crimes. I was an unofficial go between for his group and the feds prior to them raiding the CSAL and arresting his group. He went to the joint..,,, part of my preparation for the role was studying the Klan. The pictures shown here I took at a Klan rally in Santa Fe, TX to protest the licensing of Vietnamese fisherman. Ricky Mitchell, GSO was there as well as several other SD personnel to identify Klansmen for intel purposes. The white guy to the left and behind the Klansman is the former Grand Dragon of the entire Klan. These pictures appeared in InBetween Magazine, where I was working as well... very complicated.
