In 1997, I started working at the Kentucky State Reformatory. One of the first people I saw, was a pretty lady with a bright smile working the front gate whose name was Felicia A Bell. Friday will be her last day of work, but I want the people of KSR and the Dept. of Corrections to know what this lady means to us. Over the years she has performed her job with unquestioned excellence and loyalty, and saved that institution more times than they will ever know. I have been fortunate to have learned from some of the best people in our field, and Felicia is among them. She taught me the importance of policy and procedure by performing her job with a professionalism that has no equal. Most of us have a favorite memory of Felicia, whether its her sense of humor, her cooking, or learning not to make her MAD!!!! : ) We remember the sayings: Do you have a memo on that, if not it aint happening . Who are you and what are you here for, or my personal favorite, Youre NOT coming in here dressed like that, who do you think you are. Felicia, you have been my mentor, my confidant, my partner in crime, but most importantly, youve been my friend. Good luck in your retirement, youve earned it. Ill love you always Ms. Bell.
