In 1997 I took of group of 25 intercessors to Zimbabwe, Africa. Our only mandate was to lay our faces in the dirt and let our tears water the ground for the seeds of revival across the continent of Africa. Our first three days on African soil were some of the hardest days and nights we had ever faced in our lives. It seemed that all of hell was against us, but without sleep or food and in the rain, we continued to lay our faces in the dirt and pray. On the third night, Satan pulled out all of the stops in his assail against us. Some of the team were beginning to crack under the pressure. Fear was beginning to take hold and several were in tears. Those that were suppose to be for us, in this country far from home without phones or internet, were treating us with contempt and were acting very peculiar. They had moved us to a gated compound that had the skull of an animal as the decoration on the outside of the main building and locked us down for the night. As we huddled ourselves in a back hall before trying to get some sleep... words failed me! From the corner of that hall over by the door this song began to rise as Matt Pratt pour out His praise to a God that neither slumbers of sleeps. I will never forget that moment as long as live! This song absolutely shook the heavenlies that night as the group joined Matt in lifting praise to Jehovah God. Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. The next day the Superintendent of pastors came to me and said...you passed the test, today we go to Masvingo...the high place for human sacrifice. There is soooooo much more to the story... but if you are up against a struggle tonight, begin to Praise the Lord! Praise moves the hand of God and puts the enemy to flight. Submit yourselves to God, Resist the Devil, and he will flee from you!
