In 2004 I found the video below and was awe struck by it - the real deal, parking lot House with people that were there for one thing. It was so similar to our On Hubert Street events in the basement at The View it was unreal. I kept my eye on DJ Rahaan Rah...and eventually got a call that he was over and had a spare date, so I put him on in Warrington - but with only a week or sos notice it was a pretty poor turnout, which was a damn shame.. Phil Cooper and the boys came down from Chester for it as they do ;) I picked him up from Durham and drove him down, he was fecked after doing a night up there, we all made the most of it... ...anyway theres the back story - what this post is really about is if you watch the BTH video below it is the track that has them hanging off the ceiling with the Bad Girls BEEP BEEP samples had always done me head in...what was it??? Anyway Ive dug through every record I own this week as to get some order going and came across a track I bought maybe in 1990 - TIKKLE - IN THE BEGINNING and maybe the last time I saw it or played it was in the 90s. I said to Gill Look at this , Im made up to find it :)...stuck it on and BOOM in the first four beats there was the sample that Rahaan had used on THAT track. I feel both gutted and elated. Gutted as Im normally pin sharp on samples... Elated as Ive put it to bed haha. Anyway, please watch Rahaans Bring The Heat video as it is THE best vid of a space with real people in it that I have ever seen and check the WE DONT NEED NO MUSIC shouts... DJ Rahaan, I salute you :) ...a moment in time and simply AWESOME!!! ;)
