In 2007, Army Sergeant Kyle J. White put his own life in jeopardy to save lives, successfully seeing to it that an army specialist and an interpreter were evacuated after gunfire erupted in a village in rural Afghanistan. Next month, the now 27-year-old former sergeant will be the seventh living recipient to be awarded the Medal of Honor for service in Afghanistan or Iraq. For risking his life in service to his country, Sergeant Kyle J. White is our “Manners Hero of the Week.” Pay tribute to Kyle J. White and all our other military heroes by making a comment on the PARADE Magazine website.
