In 2009, after reading the proposed healthcare plan, I went to a townhall for Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill and spoke. As you can see from this video, I was 100% correct on the purpose of the healthcare plan, the lies with which it would be passed, what was going to happen, and why it was a terrible idea. And thats before the employer mandate was illegally shifted past this Novembers elections. Unlike the Senators staff, I read the bill. This was six months before it passed. I had three hours sleep, a young baby at home, and yet it was important enough to show up and stand up. I was not connected. I didnt have inside information. I just decided to study what they were doing. For that, I was smeared for years as an evil Tea Partier who didnt care about the poor. Smeared by people who didnt read the bill, but instead read talking points written by people like Jonathan Gruber We are often told that were not smart enough to know what is going on. Were told how smart people in government are. Today, were finding out that MIT economist Jonathan Gruber has been going around for years laughing at the idiot voters who were lied to to pass the bill. You are smart enough. You deserved the truth. You didnt get it.
