In 2011, President Jonathan was barely one year in office as President. The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) sat and presented one candidate for the whole of the north. At the PDP primaries, Jonathan shocked them by beating the ACF candidate by a wide margin, winning 78% of the votes cast. The ACF re-strategized and decided to give their support to General Buhari of the CPC. As the results rolled out, General Buhari lost out with President Jonathan almost doubling his total votes . Four years later , President Jonathan is facing General Buhari again. This time around, the margin will be wider. Most of the Presidential hopefuls of northern extraction are now working for the Presidents re-election. From IBB, to Mallam Shekarau, Nuhu Ribadu and Aliyu Gusau, the Presidents camp has been re-fortified. From intelligence reports coming from our field officers, President Jonathan will clearly win in some northern states like Sokoto, Borno and Adamawa. Those planning to form a parallel government should start planning how to do that now. God bless Nigeria.
