In 2012, I invited Rwandan-born actress & playwright, Anisia Uzeyman, on the US leg of the Volcanic Sunlight Tour, where we crossed 32 states in 42 days. With 2 iphones and a dream, Anisia decided that she would take this opportunity to direct her first narrative feature film, DREAMSTATES- a story of two lovers who meet in the dream realm before meeting in real life. Everyday, on the road, before and after every show, we shot scenes, sometimes confusing bandmates and the driver with weird demands like, Can we slow down? I need a shot of Saul running through the desert. We let them believe we were shooting a documentary, that way they wouldnt act for the camera. But a few were in on the secret, like Beau Sia, CX KIDTRONIK, Pegasus Warning & Julien Chirol. When Anisia got back to Paris she worked with the brilliant image editor Jean-Marie Legelles (Blue Is The Warmest Color, Eat For This Is My Body) and brought DREAMSTATES to form. Now she needs our help to finish post-production. Alan Moore said, The revolution will be crowd funded. Yall down with that? rockethub/projects/44290-dreamstates-come-true
