In 2014, I learned how to allow deconstruction to occur on its own timeline. I learned about how much I love to try and control every little thing that happens, and I learned to recognize that it backfires. Every. Time. I learned how to stand on my own two feet. I learned how to love from a place inside of my being that cant be mapped. I learned how to cry really really hard, and how to then stop crying and get up off the floor and make a huge bowl of pasta with butter and salt and watch Bravo. I learned how to let things that have ended end. I learned how to be a mother, a friend, a sister, a daughter. I learned how to be myself. I welcome 2015. I am not saying good riddance to 2014. It was a year that brought me to this moment. It was the hardest year of my life and I am grateful for every single second of it.
