In 3 weeks Ill be in my third day of training and 6th day away from my loves.... and Ill more than likely be completely miserable as I once again get treated like a newby airman complete with yelling and 4am pushups. I just need to keep telling myself, this will be ok and through the next fifty years the sacrifice for my children and country will all be worth it as we travel the world freely. I dont expect anyone to understand or stand by me, its my sacrifice for a better life. But like any military member who leaves their family please embrace my kids. My motherly love is no less than any other mothers and if anything Ill appreciate every little moment more than ever. The judgements to serving military moms are harsh but mother bears heart for her kids is bigger than anyone could ever understand as she says goodbye.
