In Adamawa State, abuse of power is the only indication that public functionaries have political power. Timawus Mathias I have been inboxed to qualify this and I know that our experiences differ. Abuse of power starts when those people given power, refuse to see the people. In the middle of poverty and squalor, they display wealth to the poor people who gave them power with which they improved themselves!!! A man who does not even make and sell toothpicks displays wealth - wealth of earnings from the public purse! Abuse of power is when a man who walked a neighbourhood on barefeet and with just the shirt in his back now walks the same street surrounded by a platoon of armed men that he will do without once out of office. Abuse of power is simply, not delivering on election promises.
