In Banja Luka was unveiled a monument to Tsar Nicholas II June 21st, in Banja Luka, Republika inveiled Srpska President Milord Dodik and Russian presidential aide Igor Shchegolev a monument to Tsar Nicholas II. The opening of the monument by Zurab Tsereteli was also attended by Chairman of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, Igor Radoyichich, Russian Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina-Botan Alexander Kharchenko, chairman of the Foundation of St. Basil the Great Constantine Malofeev, a famous film director Emir Kusturica, and Ministers of the Republic of Srpska. This is an opportunity for the Serbian people in part to repay a debt to the great Tsar, the Russian people and the government for the support we got from them in the crucial days, - said Milorad Dodik. He thanked the Russian people and Russian President Putin for the support they have given to the Serbian people. On the pedestal of the monument to the Serbian and Russian reads: In memory of the Russian Emperor Nicholas II, the defender of the Serbian people and the fallen soldiers of the Serbian Volunteer Corps. The monument was erected on Dusan Boulevard near the gymnasium.
