In Bland,Va. now. My plan is to stay here at a campsite out of town for the nite, Then I have decided to jump over a 100 mile stretch of the trail,from here down to Damascus,Va. Right on the Tennessee border. Then pick the trail back up there. Gonna miss the Gracin Highlands and the wild ponies for now. Figure I will come back next spring/summer and finish this stretch from here to Damascus. Need to get down to Damascus and hit the Outfitters,get some new hiking boots and good insoles to help,hopefully the foot. Also need to change out my summer gear for some colder temp gear. All in all my hike is going great and am looking forward to getting into Tennessee and North Carolina. So instead of doing close to 1200 miles this year it will be cut down to approximately 1100 + miles. My pack is comin apart in a coupkle spots also so need to get a sewing kit and do some repair work. Georgia will be there so providing I can overcome the foot issue,left knee and coler temps I will make it Springer Mountain this year. I have approximately 500 more pix to download and plan to dump them in Damascus. So for those of you keepin up with my hike and enjoying my posts I am having a great time and dealing with the physical issues the best I can. Thanks to all for the likes,comments and support.
