In Brazil there is Public and Private healthcare. Private is - TopicsExpress

In Brazil there is Public and Private healthcare. Private is expensive (something I cant afford) and very often people who have paid out to a health plan every month for years, find that it doesnt cover what they need when they need it, or that the company has simply decided not to cover them anymore (the very complicated rules mean that people can suddenly find them selves with no cover and no reimbursement of monies paid). The Public scheme can be great (as in the treatment Neu receives) or it can be a dissaster with whole hospitals full of brand new equipment closed due to lack of funding. In other hospitals, lack of basic medicines makes it impossible for the doctors to do their job (for example my son, then aged 4, was given stitches without anaesthetic), lack of beds results in people lying in corridors (sometimes on the floor), or they are simply turned away due to lack of doctors. Many people become gravely ill with preventable diseases because preventative health care, especially in rural areas, is extremely precarious or non existant. Dont let this happen to the NHS. If the TTIP comes into effect, money you have paid in your NI contributions could end up being paid in compensation to big business instead of on your health care, how long will it be before the NHS collapses!
